Imagine walking around Florence and seeing all the beautiful and historic sights… As fascinating as the experience is, you’ll need a refresh. If you are tired of all the gelato there, why not try this as your snack of choice? It will definitely be a meal to remember.

Burger King typically sells the traditional burger as their name would indicate. However, their menu has expanded to include many other options both in the US and internationally. Including adding a longer bun with way more meat.

In both South Africa and Australia, that translates to this sub bun burger. Now, you’ll definitely be satisfied and full after eating this meal. Plus, it’s topped with both chili and jalapenos for an extra bite.

The Double Down was released in many markets but was not a huge hit. This chicken sandwich with chicken as the bun just didn’t make the splash that KFC thought it would. But as they say, when you fall down, you dust yourself off and get right back up again.

The food creators at KFC went back to the drawing board and came up with the Double Down Dog – a hot dog with fried chicken as the bun. Of course, you have to go to the Philippines to get one. But if you are into that, it might be worth the trip!

Ham and cheese on a bun are not strange for a breakfast dish. So, adding Spam on a bun for our morning meal doesn’t freak us out but getting it from a fast-food restaurant does seem quite out there.

But BK in Japan will tell you otherwise as they have a menu item there where you can start your day with a spam sandwich that is topped with cheese, spicy pickles, lettuce, and mayo. While we’re usually not that adventurous so early in the morning, never say never, right?

Many people love to eat Nutella smeared on bread in a sandwich, so this next fast food offering shouldn’t seem too far-fetched. In Japan, First Kitchen has brought the Kit Kat sandwich to the population, and we are so in for it!

Though we want to point out that this should not be enjoyed too often, it sounds like a delicious dessert. It combines all the sweet favorites from a Kit Kat bar to whipped cream – we bet your mouth is starting to water a bit from this!

The Pizza Huts in Singapore took the basic pizza and then added a funky twist of a tortilla topped with mango, mayo, and turkey ham. We are not sure how we feel about this overload of flavors but it sounds like something that deserves a try!

Many people would agree with the statement that you can deep fry just about anything. But most of us would never think of deep-frying salmon. It is a really delicate fish and just not your typical fast-food fare.

But if you happen to be visiting Japan and are feeling spontaneous, then head on over to KFC where you can get yourself some deep-fried salmon. This could be purchased in a roll that is topped with tartar sauce, basil sauce, and lettuce.

We bet you’ve all seen a strange new menu item and thought to yourself – “That looks a little unsettling, but sure I’ll try it.” We’re also very sure that this burger from Burger King in Japan makes the cut when it comes to all things weird and wonderful.

The fact that this burger has a black bun is surprisingly not the only thing that sets it apart from the other burgers. It is topped with a hash brown, special sauce, and a floppy piece of bacon. The only off-putting thing is that ad, right?

Many fast-food restaurants try to customize their menus to the place they are in, so while certain dishes might seem strange to us, they could very well be run-of-the-mill there. For instance, Dunkin’ Donuts’ red bean bagel balls in South Korea fall into this category.

This burger had seven patties and a calorie count of more than 1000. Both the program and the burger had some operating concerns, and that may be why both didn’t last on the market. However, this whopper is definitely worth a mention.

Jelly is a staple on a lot of breakfast tables when it comes to different kinds of bread and pastries, however, this sweet spread is not commonly associated with coffee. Until now – introducing Starbuck’s Jelly Frappuccino in Japan.

As odd as this sounds to us, the picture makes us want to give it a chance. After all, the classic Frappuccino is a great hit across the world, so surely adding a bit of jelly can’t do much harm, right?

There is a traditional filled doughnut that is really popular in Israel on a certain holiday, so Burger King thought to get creative and do something with it. Introducing the SufganiKing – this is is a burger that uses doughnuts in replacement of a classic bun.

However, instead of the sweet filling that these sufganiyot donuts usually contain, this burger is filled with ketchup. How do you guys feel about this sweet and savory combo? We’re on the fence about this one.

Remember the popular Cronut or the Doritos Locos Taco? Well, the Buffalo Crunch Donut is a similar disruptive food invention in that it takes different food elements and mixes them together to create an out-of-the-ordinary experience.

Imagine your sweet glazed donut with a tangy Buffalo sauce flavoring… We simply can’t so that is why we need to at least try a bite of this. What do you guys think? Let’s be daredevils!

Sweet and savory is a pretty popular combination, so having berries on a burger sounds like something worth a try. To those of you who think this is beyond strange, we understand you. After all, most of us associate berries with dessert.

However, Burger King in Japan decided to be daring by adding a couple of different options of burgers where you can enjoy the taste of sweet berries on top. Who’s up to try this bold menu item?

This surprising add-on of flavors is placed in the crust of the pizza so right at the end of your bite you’ll be in for a treat. Well, we hope it’s a treat… It will definitely be a special rare experience!

You know when you go to KFC, you get finger-licking good chicken, right? Well, at one point, the company thought they should take that a step further and make edible nail polish. Seems a little unappetizing to us but hey, thinking outside of the box works sometimes.

This nail polish came in two flavors and multiple colors, but the product didn’t go very far. As much as we’re not shocked by this, we do wish that we at least got to try it first.

Chicken tikka masala may be one of the most well-known Indian dishes in the world. It is a spicy chicken dish that is often served with rice or naan. So, Pizza Hut in India decided to do their own spin on it. Let’s see what materialized from it…

What do we think of this combination of two very popular foods? We don’t think that adding chicken onto pizza is too out there so we’re up to try this. We’re sure the spicy flavoring will make our mouth (and maybe eyes) water.

Another version of the ill-fated Double Down menu still has life in South Korea. In fact, if you are looking for a sandwich that is actually two pieces of chicken with bacon, cheese, and hash browns, then you want to book a flight to South Korea to get one.

While it sounds very messy and unusual, we’re kind of into this one. After all, it’s fewer carbs, right? So, join us in trying to track this bad boy down at KFC the next time we’re visiting South Korea.

McDonald’s in the Philippines decided to shake things up by introducing the Chicken McDo with a side of spaghetti to their menu. For those of you who are anti-pasta (we hope there are not too many of you), then you can opt for the rice option rather.

What do you think of this combo? Yay or nay? To be honest, we can’t judge it too harshly until we’ve tried it ourselves. Don’t you agree? After all, as your mom would probably say – “You can’t judge a book by its cover.”

Say goodbye to a regular dough base with this pizza… We know this invention sounds like a lot but hey, eating plain pizza is so conventional and sometimes you just gotta shake it up.

Okay, so shrimp burgers may not sound that great for a lot of people but just hear us out before you judge this too harshly. The McDonald’s in Greece offers you a crispy shrimp burger with a fried patty placed on a bun with tomato, lettuce, and topped with chili sauce.

While we were initially freaked out by combining seafood with our classic Mickey D’s burger, we are now eager to try it. After all, we usually are our most adventurous selves when we are traveling.

Pizza and burgers are usually people’s top picks when it comes to fast food so it makes sense that Pizza Hut thought to get creative by combining these crowd-pleasers into one.

With a unique crust design that looks like a crown, the Pizza Huts in Japan opted to add tiny cheeseburgers. While it does look like a lot to consume, we like how the burgers are added to the crust so that way you can get a flavor change towards the end of your pizza slice.

Yes, you heard that correctly. This sweet and savory burger contains canned pork with the popular American sandwich cookie that is Oreos. We’d be reluctant to give this one a go but if we lost a game of Truth or Dare then we’d have to cave.

Imagine a classic pizza – then take the dough and the cheese away and add in rice or chicken. Now you have what Pizza Hut called a Birizza, and it comes with more than just that.

It is packed with flavor, and you also get an onion salad on the side. While it’s not really a pizza, it still sounds pretty tasty and we’d be happy to try it. Are you with us?

Halloween is a big celebration in a lot of countries, and typically fast-food restaurants have seasonal offerings in stock to get into the spirit of it. For example, McDonald’s in Japan offers their customers pumpkin-spiced fries.

Essentially, it’s just the classic Mickey D’s fries that come with two packets of sauce that you can drizzle over the top. They are, of course, brown and orange in color and pumpkin-flavored to keep with the theme. Pretty smart, right?

Just head on over to McDonald’s and order yourself the PizzaMac – it has a cheesy bun and is topped with marinara instead of with the secret sauce. As extra as this sounds, we’re inclined to try it at least once.

Curries are a big part of the cuisine in India, and the flavors alter from city to city. But one that won’t change is the one that McDonald’s offers on its menu. Plus, there are a couple of options available, including a vegetarian one.

The McCurry Pan is a creamy curry that is spooned into a bread tray. That means that not only do you get a yummy curry, but you also get bread and limited waste. Sounds like a win-win situation to us!

When was the last time you said, “I really want some crab”, and rushed out to the McDonald’s down the street? Probably not recently or ever, but if you are in Japan, then you might be changing your tune.

There you can get yourself a crab croquette burger and some fries. It is made with snow crab and mushrooms and served in ciabatta bread. Judge us if you will, but this sounds kind of delicious to us!

While a pizza with Dorito chips on top sounds pretty unbelievable, in Australia it’s a real thing and there’s quite the hype around it. Also, it’s not as unappealing as you may think…

It’s just another layer of cheese added, so when you really think about it, it’s not so outlandish. Whose feeling adventurous enough the next time they’re visiting Down Under to give this a go?

Donuts are delicious! But donuts with cheese? That sounds like heaven to us, and they already exist. All you have to do is go to Germany and buy a box of these camembert donuts at a local Mickey D’s.

Also, on top of being delicious, they are also vegetarian! So, if you like those standard mozzarella sticks, then these cheese donuts might just be right up your alley. At least they are worth a try, right?

Pumpkin is a pretty popular flavor, and so it would make sense that eventually, someone somewhere out there would find a way to incorporate it into a burger. Those creative minds happened to be the folks at Burger King in Japan who decided to take the leap.

The burger is created with beef and bacon, along with slices of pumpkin. That is one hearty meal, and it has all the food groups you need too! If you think about it from that perspective, then it’s worth a try.

We all have seen a crab roll or lobster roll, and that seems normal to us, but when you are in line at Subway, you don’t often see shrimp. That is unless you’re in the Subway store in Japan. And believe it or not, this is one of their most popular options.

So, if the locals rave about it then as a tourist, you gotta give it a go. Plus, it doesn’t look so bad in the picture.

We’re realizing that pizza is basically a blank slate for anyone to get creative with. Take, for instance, the Frankfurter BBQ pizza that you can get at Pizza Hut in Indonesia. Each slice contains one sausage and is topped with mustard and BBQ sauce.

We are not sure how we feel about this since we like the sausage and pizza tastes separately but are really unsure about adding them together. Before we sound too critical, what do you guys think?
